Ian C. Beattie is the elected 1st District Constable in Scott County Kentucky, also serving Georgetown, Stamping Ground, and Sadieville Kentucky. Constable’s are sworn peace officers that provide a significant service to the Community and the Courts. Their primary responsibility is the process service of documents issued by the court system. This includes but is not limited to Summons, Writ’s of Possession, Forcible Detainers, Divorce Proceedings and similar services.
The Office of Constable is an elected Constitutional Office, and is non-taxpayer supported. Funding comes from the fees paid for process service of documents. Constables rely on a successful relationship with clients to maintain this income. It is an important relationship that demands a Constable put forth a deserving effort for all Clients.
